年夜教英语写做本领!Some people are quite in favor of

文章来源:admin    时间:2018-10-16 00:56

In my opinion, I agree with the second view for some reasons.First, It is a economic time in the world. The university shouldfollow the step of the sociation. Second, it can developuniversity’s applicantce of education. Third, It get more chancesto the people who work or study in the university. They could get alot of new thing from the travelers. At last, student can toughsociation earliy. It can help they adapt to sociation.

Above all is mine.

People have a lot of opinions for this. Some of them don’t alowit and some other’s opinions are opposite.

In recently, the university campus have been becoming to the newview place which more person are interested in. The famousuniversity in the world take millions of travelers every year andmake a lot valou.

2分档做文

In my opinion, the university campus should be open to thevisitors who are not only for play, to visit. They should be opento children, because the children will be impacted by theuniversity’s life. The campus should not be open to everyone toreduce the influence of the universities’ study.

There are two opposite opinions. Some people think it isnecessary that the campus is a good place to teach children. Theothers think they should not be open to tourists, because thevisitors may be impact the phenomenon of the study.

With this situation, the problem that whether the universitycampus should be open to tourists comes to us.

There are more and more famous university campus becominginterest places people eager about to visit.

5分档做文

In my personal opinion, the university campus shouldn’t be opento tourists. Just as a saying goes, the university is where thestudents make a deep study. If the campus be open to tourists, students may be absence of mind in study. So, in my mind, theuniversity campus had better not be open to the society.

Of course, different person has different idea to it whether theuniversity campus should be open to the society, not a place fortourists to visit, the other people agree that the university is aplace to be worth visiting. What’s more, they can feel that thickand adamic atmosphere.

At present, more and more university campus are being open totourists. Paying a visit to the university is becoming a new kindof traveling. Meanwhile, it has attracted people’s attention.

8分档做文

In my opinion, tourists may come into the university campus oncondition that the number of them is controlled. It’s true thatuniversity is our own fortune, and at the same time we should thinkmore for the students who need peace for study.

As a result, wether the university campus should be open totourists calls for our attention. Some people think that it should.“Because universities are the property of everyone, and it’s goodfor us to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere of learning,” theymay say. However, others hold an opposite opinion. They feel thatuniversity students may be disturbed and too many travelers somehowleads to disorder.

Nowadays, university campuses are becoming more and moreattractive for tourists all around the world. Among thoseuniversities, many have a long history. People would love to travelaround in the campus, enjoying the historic landscape there.

11分档做文

In my opinion, campuses can be open to tourists once a week, say, on Saturday or Sunday. This suggestion, I believe, is quitefeasible because it could kill two birds with one stone. For oneting, campuses could attract many tourists on weekends, thusboosting the tourism. For another, restricted opening of campuswill beneficially narrow the gap between campuses and the outsideworld. Furthermore, this will also attract more public attentionand build a great reputation for the university.

Some people are quite in favor of the campus’ opening totourists while others are opposed to it. The opening of campus willstimulate the tourist industry, but the easier access to campuswill lead to some accidents or safety problems which will interferein students’ life.

University campuses, especially those of the renowneduniversities, have recently become the new tourist attractions.Pros and cons have been put forward concerning this newphenomenon.

附录1:积年年夜教英语4、6级做文题目成绩

Men were shouting, dogs were barking, with greatest animation, but the thronging travelers in so long a journey had grown nearlyin different to such terrors, though they still bleated piteouslyat the unwantedness of their experiences, a tall shepherd risinghere and there in the midst of them like a gigantic idol amid acrowd of prostrate devotees.(托马斯·哈代《近离尘嚣》)

When the autumn sun slanted over Greenhill this morning andlighted the dewy flat upon its crest, nebulous clouds of dust wereto be seen floating between the pairs of hedges which streaked thewide prospect around in all directions. These gradually convergedupon the base of the hill, and the flocks which led to the top. Thus in a slow procession they entered the opening to which theroads tended, multitude after multitude, horned and hornless--blueflocks and red flocks, buff flocks and brown flocks, even green andsalmon- tinted flocks according to the fancy of the colorist andcustom of the farm.

An Excerpt fromFar From the MaddingCrowd by Thomas Hardy

"Do you think I can stay to become nothing to you? Do you thinkI am an automation? --a machine without feelings, and can bear tohave any morsel of bread snatched from my lips, andmy drop of living water dashed from my cup?Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I amsoulless and heartless? You think wrong! --- I have as much soul asyou---and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with somebeauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you toleave me, as it is now for me to leave you. I am not talking to younow through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even ofmortal flesh: it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just asif both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God's feet,equal---as we are!"(夏洛蒂·勃朗特《简爱》)

An Excerpt fromJane Eyre by CharlotteBronte

(托马斯·哈代《近离尘嚣》)

It was early the next morning--a time of sun and dew. Theconfused beginnings of many birds' songs spread into the healthyair, and the wan blue of the heaven was here and there coated withthin webs of incorporeal cloud, which were of no effect inobscuring day. All the lights in the scene were yellow as to color, and all the shadows were attenuated as to form. The creeping plantsabout the old manor- house were bowed with rows of heavy water-drops, which had upon objects behind them the effect of minutelenses of high magnifying power.

An Excerpt fromFar From the MaddingCrowd by Thomas Hardy

(约瑟妇·康推德:年夜教英语写做本事。《幸运的凶姆》)

He was an inch, perhaps two, under six feet, powerfully built, and he advanced straight at you with a slight stoop of theshoulders, head forward, and a fixed from- under stare which madeyou think of a charging bull. His voice was deep, loud, and hismanner displayed a kind of dogged self-assertion which he hadnothing aggressive in it. It seemed a necessity, and it wasdirected apparently as much at himself as at anybody else. He wasspotlessly neat, apparelled in immaculate white from shoes to hat,and in the various Eastern ports where he go this living asship-chandler's water-clerk he was very popular.

So warm a word is home, and such a sweet sadness ishomesickness.(391words)

It is the silent sigh and faint pain in your heart when youbegin reading the story, “That spring forty years ago, I wavedfarewell to my village and my dear mother…”

It is thesensitiveness you begin to develop. You cannot help daydreaming atthe whistle of a train, and your eyes moisten at the sight of ahouse or even a tree that looks like the one in your hometown. Itis the unspeakable sadness that creeps over you when you standalone in the darkening dusk and see birds flying back to theirnests and everybody hurrying home.

It is the fear to sing “Home, Sweet Home” in case of a burst oftears. It is the murmur of “mummy” in dreams. It is the merethought of the homemade cake *** your mouth water. And it is thesmall grocery next door and the shop owner’s friendly smile thatkeeps on appearing in your dreams.

It is the sudden delight ofcloseness that strikes you when you meet a person from the sametown, or even a stranger who has just been there. It is theeagerness to ask about everything, the trees, the hills, and yourdear old folks. It is the sparkling eyes when you come upon a fewwords about your hometown in one corner of your news***.

It is the unusual patienceand indomitable willpower with which you go to the ticket office atmidnight and stand in a long line before the small window, and theecstasy when you at last get a ticket at ten o’clock the nextmorning.

It is the impatience, anxiety, misery, fear, and wild guesses when you are waiting for aletter from home. It is the never fading joy of reading it againand again in bed.

It is the welling-up tearsin your eyes, the lump in your throat, the waving hands when thetrain is drawing out of the station and taking you away from home.It is the strength with which you walk the three miles to your homewith heavy bags in your hands after a long tiring trip, and thehalt, excitement, and hesitation at the doorstep.

Only a person far away fromhome knows what homesickness is.

Homesickness

Superficially, people’s endless discontent with what they havesounds greedy and unpleasant. But it is, in fact, this discontentof our humans’ that pushes our society to continuously createthings new and different to meet people’s desire. (299words)

Finally, the vanity to keep up with the neighbors and friendsalso spark off people’s dissatisfaction with what they have. A caris originally meant to be means of transportation. However, thereare people who trade in their nicer cars for a Benz, BMW, Volvo orLuxury simply because their friends or neighbors drive thesemakes.

Second, people’s improvement in financial status invites theirdissatisfaction with what they have. A good example of this is thepurchase of a newer house on better location with a nicer view whenone has saved enough money or when one gets a raise knowing thatpaying back a mortgage is not a problem.

First, the continuous emergence of new products constantlymotivates people’s desire to get things new and different. Forexample, people replace their computers with new ones that arequicker in speed and more in functions long before their machinesget worn-out. This happens as a result of the rapid development ofscience and technology that enables improved computers andsoftwares to come out into the market at a much faster speed thanthe speed for a computer to get old.

Satisfaction is only a temporary feeling of being content, forhuman desire, stimulated by both physical and mental needs, connects with changes in our world, our society and ourselves. Itis true that people are never satisfied with what they have in thelong run and they always want something more or somethingdifferent. This unsatisfactory perception, together with the desirefor something more or different, exists perpetually for three majorreasons.

Why are People Never Satisfied with What TheyHave?

A Sample Business LetterDear Sirs,

China is a large country. We still have to weigh every factorcarefully before we make decisions about private cars. Though thenumber of private cars keeps on increasing, popularization ofluxurious things like cars, will have towait.(269 words)

Thereare, on the other hand, many reasons against it. First, only richpeople in China can afford their own cars. Second, cars will usetoo much of our limited petroleum resources, and cause manyproblems, such as air pollution, car accidents, and traffic jams.Third, China has a huge population, and many feel that bicycles andbuses are good enough; private cars are unrealistic now. What’smore, the already overloaded poor roads cannot sustain more cars. Finally, millions of poor people are struggling to survive, how canthey afford to buy expensive cars?

There are many reasons to encourage people to own cars. First, acar allows a person to travel long distances freely, safely, andcomfortably in all weather. Second, if each family buys a car, millions of car will be needed. As a result, the auto industry, aswell as many related industries, will have a booming business, which will in turn boost our economy. Furthermore, China can importadvanced car *** technology, instead of just importing cars. Finally, the tax paid by car drivers will accelerate constructionof our highway network.

A heated debate on private cars is under way in china. Chinesecar makers energetically urge people to buy cars, whereas mostChinese, especially people in urban areas, oppose such an idea, saying that time is not ripe for each family to own a car.

Should Private Cars Be Encouraged inChina?

In a word, numbers are numbers. They stand for nothing butquantity. Numbers have nothing to do with luck. (184 words)(1998年6月CET⑷)

I don’tthink numbers have anything to do with luck. Numbers are createdfor counting. There is no relationship between a certain number andone’s fate. There are many people who have succeeded in spite of a“close relationship” to bad manners. Also a lot of people, whoshould have been blessed by “lucky” numbers, are involved in tragicaccidents. Take my friend Mary for example. She achieved a goodstudy at the nation’s most prestigious university and later gotgood reputation in her career. Her luck is not a bit ruined by her“bad” birthday.

My friend Mary was born on June 13, 1977. She is alwaysdissatisfied with her birthday because 13 is an “evil” number. LikeMary, lots of people believe that good numbers bring good luck andbad numbers bring disasters. Hence, 13, 4, and other so-called“evil” numbers are wiped off from cards, lists, menus, etc. Even insome cities, there is no No. 13 bus or No. 13 street.

Do Lucky Numbers Really Bring GoodLuck?

But students cannot find many computers in university computercenters and the local network is too slow. If students are givenmuch more opportunities to use computers, they will be betterprepared for the society oftomorrow.(211 words)(2002年6月CET⑷)

The change takes placebecause of the usage, price and the development of the computer.Firstly, the computer is very useful today. For students, thecomputer can be a great help to their study; they can learn morethings by going online than simply by reading books. Also, manystudents like chatting through or playing games on line. Secondly, the change has much to do with the low price of the computer.Thirdly, as the computer will surely play a very important role inthe future, students are afraid of being backward in this respect,so they are eager to learn more about the computer. All these helpto explain the increasing hours spent on the computer.

The picture shows the change of the hours spent by a student ina certain university on the computer per week on average. In 1990,the number is one hour, which is doubled 5 years later. In 2000,the number sharply increases to ten hours, 500% that of 1995.Students are spending too much time on computer.

Honesty is beneficial to everyone and it pays to be honest. Aperson always obtains friendship, happiness and respect if he orshe is honest. People with integrity never pretended to be honest. They always bear it in mind. Even when they are in great trouble, they still stick to it and are willing to sacrifice any other thingfor this valuable virtue. And this helps them to be respectable andsuccessful. As university students, honesty is a basic requirement;we must keep it in mind.

However, there are a lot of cases of dishonesty in a wide range offields at present. In the business community, for example, evensome world-famous corporations have cheated their employees andstockholders, such as Enron and the world Telecom. As a result, both of them have gone bankrupt and the CEOs of the twocorporations have been severely punished. They deserved thepunishment because they have seriously destroyed the confidence ofthe investors in the US stock market and brought about a greatturmoil. Everyone should learn a lesson from that case.

It Pays to Be Honest“Honesty is the best policy”, as an old saying goes. As avaluable virtue, it is supposed to be cherished by people from allwalks of life.

Go over all your lessonsand read some books about journalism, and you will be moreconfident of your application. If you still have time, you’d betterwatch TV and read news***s. All the above is my advice.

Now Ishould mention some important points you should pay attention to.First, you should get high grades in the College EntranceExamination, for journalism is a very popular major in ouruniversity. There’s much competition in getting enrolled. Besidesthe preparation for the exam, a good health condition is alsonecessary.

Since youare good at writing, I strongly recommend you major in journalism. From my point of view, you are dynamic and always curious aboutwhat happens around you. You also seem to be a good observer whilehaving the unbelievable ability of accurate description. You areborn to be an excellent journalist!

A Letter in Reply to a Friend (2)I’m very glad to learn that you’d like to apply for admission tomy university.

Majun

Yours,

I think it’s rather unnecessary for me to offer you veryspecific suggestions in attending such exams. You have alreadydeveloped a proficiency in coping with fierce competitions. Withyour 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration, you willsucceed.

The fundamental qualifications are that you should be physicallyand mentally healthy and you also have to get an excellent mark inthe national entrance examinations, and the latter is quitedemanding.

In your last letter to me you asked for some advice in choosingyour prospective major. I strongly recommend Department ofElectronics Engineering of our school. Firstly, as far as the majoritself is concerned, it is one of those fastest developing fieldsof technology these days. You know that two topics that arefrequently talked about today are computers and large-scaleintegrated circuits, and the technology of electronics plays anindispensable part in the implementation of both of the two.Secondly, this department of our school enjoys a very goodreputation in the academic world, where you can get a first-classeducation.

Dear Zhou Chi,

Last but not the least important, there is no denying the factthat our country is still poor. There are many people who cannot goto university and many poor people still need our help. As far as Iam concerned, I should set a good example to reduce waste oncampus.

The negative effects of waste can be shown in the followingaspects. In the first place, it makes some students dependent ontheir parents for money, which is harmful to their development. Ifthey don’t learn to support themselves, they will be “uselesspeople” when they graduate. In the second place, it is not easy forour parents to arrange for our schooling.

Reduce Waste on CampusAs is known to all, waste on campus has become a more and moreserious problem. We can easily see many students dump a lot of foodin the garbage can. Some students spend thousands ofyuan buying fashionable clothes and so on.

Sincerely yours,

Thank you for your attention!

It goes without saying that today’s face-paced andmarket-oriented economy calls for much higher standard for serviceindustry. However, to my regret, many of the commercialorganizations fail to achieve this standard and the quality of thestaff needs to be improved. It’s clear that the poor quality ofpractitioners in the service industry will not only deeplydisappoint customers but also ruin the development of our country’seconomy. As a result, I hope your news*** could remind theservice industry to attach more importance to the serviceimprovement.

On this weekend I bought an English-Chinese dictionary in abookstore near my home since its cover is elaborately designed. Butwhen I went home and read carefully, I found that several pages ofthe dictionary had been cracked. What is worse, the misprintsspread everywhere in the dictionary and seriously affected mycomprehension. Since there was such damage and misprint to thedictionary, I went to the bookstore to require for a replace. Butto my surprise, the staff of the bookstore turned down my requestrudely and even denied the poor quality of the dictionary.

I am writing this letter to report some problems I came acrossrecently.

I will never forget what you’ve done to me, Miss Wang. I amtrying my best to learn the knowledge and I’d like to become ateacher in the near future like Miss Wang, giving love to thestudent.

I thinkI’m very lucky because every teacher I met was so kind and helpful.Miss Wang was my class teacher in the middle school. She was ayoung lady who was very patient and kind hearted. We all liked her.One cold morning, we were all standing on the playground, listeningto the talking of our headmaster. The talking last for about fortyminutes and was still going on. I got up late that morning anddidn’t have time to eat anything. So I felt very uncomfortablestanding there for long. Suddenly I couldn’t see anything and fellto the ground… when I came around, I found myself lying on the bed.Miss Wang was looking at me anxiously beside the bed. “Where arewe?” “We are in the hospital.” How scared was I when you fainted! Now, have a good rest and remember to have breakfast each morning, okay?” later, my classmates told me that Miss Wang rushed to me thesecond she saw me fainted and hold me tight all through the way tothe hospital at that time. She was so nervous that everyone mistookme as her own child.

How time flies! Another Teacher’s Day has cone around. I’d liketo send my best wishes to all of the teachers. I hope that everyone of your will be happy and healthy forever!

Teacher’s Day

Serious as the problem seems, we can come up with some measures todeal with it. First of all, the government must make stricter lawsto prevent people from producing pirated products. Then asconsumers, we should be lawful citizens and refrain from buyingthem. Only through these measures can we hope to solve the problem.

Why is therepiracy? As far as I know, there are two reasons. To begin with, pirated products are much cheaper than legal ones. Take “Windows”as an example. The legal “Windows” software costs us thousands ofyuan , while a pirated one costs only 5yuan . What’smore, people don’t realize the harms of buying pirated products. When it comes to the harms of piracy, we can cite a lot. In thefirst place, producing pirated products is similar to “theft”,which is illegal. In the second place, companies will be unwillingto create good products unless their intellectual property rightsare well protected.

Say No to Pirated ProductsAs is known to all, piracy has become a more and more serious problem, which hindersour economic development. In many computers, we can find piratedMicrosoft “Windows” software. In many DVD stores, we can seepirated products.

The opening of campus willstimulate the tourist industry, but the easier access to campuswill lead to some accidents or security problems which willinterfere in students’ life.

University campuses, especially those of the renowneduniversities, have recently become the new tourist attractions.Pros and cons have been put forward concerning this newphenomenon.
